James Kay, P.Eng, CPESC
James Kay is a consulting civil engineer serving the land development and municipal engineering sectors throughout the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, Sunshine Coast, and Okanagan. As a Professional Engineer and Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, James has designed and consulted on hundreds of erosion and sediment control plans for subdivisions, commercial developments, townhouse and apartment projects.
With a focus on sustainability and green infrastructure, James brings depth and experience in hydrology and hydraulics, as well as current Best Management Practices and Low Impact Development strategies. James is well versed in the federal and provincial legislation, as well as local municipal bylaws governing erosion and sediment control.
Ed van Osch, B.E.S., M.R.M.CPESC
An environmental monitoring, erosion & sediment control, and resource analysis specialist with 18 years experience managing linear, urban and resource development projects for government and industry. Mr. Van Osch’s project portfolio includes successful completion of a number of high-profile highway, forestry, oil and gas, and resource development projects. Mr. Van Osch is the lead Environmental trainer for the Natural Resources Extension Program (NREP) at Vancouver Island University who, since 2004, has delivered ESC and Environmental Monitoring training to over 2000 participants across Canada.
Mark Myrowich, CPESC #2418
Mark Myrowich, owner of ErosionControlBlanket.com has been a Directing Member and on the Board of Directors of the ECTC since 2002. He has been In the erosion and sediment control industry since 1995, starting off in the industry as an erosion control contractor owning Mid Canada Hydroseeding (MCH), then creating ErosionControlBlanket.com in 2000, to manufacture erosion control blankets and sediment control products.
In the spring of 2002, Mark received his Certified Professional Designation in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC). His Designation is #2418. In 1999, MCH received the Environmental Leader Award from the Manitoba Heavy Construction Association. In 1998, he co-founded the Northern Plains Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association and is currently its Treasurer.
Currently ErosionControlBlanket.com is a Cornerstone member of the IECA, Mark has been a member since 1996.
Mark has made erosion and sediment control presentations across Western Canada and the Mid West USA and is working on a video series to further enhance education on Erosion and Sediment Control around the World
Mark has served on the Board of the Manitoba Heavy Construction Association and the Canadian Land Reclamation Association.
